Man Dies on Flight United From Denver to Salt Lake
A man, still unnamed, died during a flight aboard United Airlines from Denver to Salt Lake City Sunday, according to a KSL report. Airport spokeswoman Barbara Gann confirmed Monday the death of a passenger on United Flight 5596.
Jared Noall, also a passenger on the flight and a combat medic with the Army Reserve, tried to revive the man by performing a CPR the moment he found out the man was not breathing. Noall said that 15–20 minutes before the plane landed, he heard a passenger snoring loudly two rows back. Then after a moment the snoring stopped.
“You could tell something was wrong. I asked, ‘Hey, sir, are you awake?’ ” Noall said. “I shook him a bit, trying to see if I could get a response out of him. We checked his throat for a pulse, and it wasn’t there, so we laid him down in the aisle and start CPR.”
“It sort of sucks because you always want to save people’s lives, but what can you do?” Noall said. “Everyone came together to try to help, though. We did what we could.”
