IRS Where’s My Refund Website and Mobile App

It is tax season once again.  If you have filed your tax return and are waiting for your refund, you may want to visit IRS’ “Where’s My Refund” website.  It can give you an update on when your money will arrive.

It provides the most up-to-date information the IRS has. There’s no need to call us unless Where’s My Refund? tells you to do so. Where’s My Refund? is updated every 24 hours – usually overnight — so you only need to check once a day.

“In 2013 you will be able to start checking on the status of your return sooner — within 24 hours after we have received your e-filed return or 4 weeks after you mail a paper return.”

You can also use a mobile app called IRS2GO to check the status of your filing and refund.
