22 Killed in Collision in United Arab Emirates

A gravel-filled truck collided with a bus, killing at least 22 migrant workers in United Arab Emirates, Monday morning. Faulty truck brakes were blamed as the cause of the crash.

The incident happened near Al Ain, about 150 kilometers (90 miles) east of Abu Dhabi, also injured 24 people.

Brig. Gen Hussein Ahmed al-Harethi, head of Abu Dhabi’s police traffic division, told the official news agency WAM that the truck driver lost control after the vehicle’s brakes failed.
