Israeli President Shimon Peres built a snowman in Jerusalem as a rare snowstorm sweeps across the Middle East on Thursday. He said “Whatever happens in Jerusalem is a blessing. This time is a blessing in white.” This is the worst snowstorm in 20 years.
Most people stayed indoors during the unusual weather, but some saw it as an opportunity for fun.
