Ferry Crashes Into Manhattan Pier 11 Injuring 57 (VIDEO)
According to the responding officials, at least 57 people were injured, two are in critical condition, when a commuter ferry crashed into Pier 11 in lower Manhattan’s financial district on Wednesday morning. The ferry involved is the Seastreak Wall Street, part of the fleet operated by Seastreak.
The Coast Guard and the National Transportation Safety Board are now investigating the cause of the crash.
According to one passenger, “We were pulling into the dock. The boat hit the dock. We just tumbled on top of each other. I got thrown into everybody else.”
The ferry is reported to have carried 326 passengers and five crewmembers. No immediately respond from Seastreak yet.
