Ryan Lanz is Reported As The Shooter at Newtown Connecticut

CNN just reported through Susan Candiotti that a law enforcement official has identified the suspect of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut this Friday morning. The name of the shooter is Ryan Lanza and he was 24 years old. According to authorities, the gunman is now dead.

According to the latest report, the suspect’s mother, who was a teacher of the school, was shot and killed.

The death is closer to 30 than 20. Most of those killed were children.

Update: There are currently conflicting reports on the shooter’s identity. Police originally identified the suspect as Ryan Lanza, but now state police Lt. Paul Vance says the shooter’s identity remains unclear.
