TV Show Guide For November 2, 2012

What shows will you be watching tonight, Friday, November 2, 2012? Here is the list for your TV guide.

8:00 PM EST

America’s Next Top Model (“The Girl Who Becomes Art For Tyra”) – The contestants model bikinis designed by Bob Marley’s daughter, Cedella Marley; Tyra photographs the models as they pose under a waterfall dressed as warrior princesses. Good, Xena needs to make a comeback. (The CW)

Kitchen Nightmares (“La Galleria 33, Part Two”) – At La Galleria 33 in Boston, Ramsay forces the owners to confront their staff and reclaim control of the restaurant; menus and decor are revamped. Expect drama, and people insisting that Gordon has no clue what he’s talking about. (FOX)

Last Man Standing [SEASON PREMIERE] (“Voting”) – Mike tries to convince Mandy to vote for Romney, but Obama supporters Kristin and Ryan disagree with his methods. God, I miss Home Improvement. (ABC)

Undercover Boss (“Modell’s Sporting Goods”) – Modell’s Sporting Goods CEO Mitchell B. Modell goes under cover. He’s a regular Donnie Brasco, this guy. (CBS)

8:30 PM EST

Malibu Country [SERIES PREMIERE] (“Pilot”) – Reba McIntyre gives a Friday night sitcom in which she plays a character with her own name another go. In the premiere, Reba leaves her cheating husband and takes her kids and mother to California so she can pursue her long set-aside music career. Maybe we can get some network synergy and have a Nashville crossover by revealing the husband was cheating with Juliette Barnes. I’m only being half-serious. (ABC)

9:00 PM EST

CSI:NY (“The Lady in the Lake”) – The team is thrust into a twisted fairy tale when a woman dressed in a ball gown is found at the bottom of a pond in Central Park. From the title, I was hoping for an episode-long homage to my favorite movie, John Boorman’s Excalibur. Because clearly, networks are thinking of random TV recappers when they program their shows. (CBS)

Fringe (“An Origin Story”) – As the team responds to devastating events, one of its own makes a significant and shocking move. Voting for Vino Allan, maybe? (FOX)

NICK’S PICK: Grimm (“The Hour of Death”) – Portland’s wesen community goes into a frenzy after a brutal vigilante homicide; Capt. Renard offers comfort to Juliette. Hopefully just a blanket and hot cocoa. (NBC)

Nikita (“True Believer”) – Nikita asks why Division continues to run Percy’s old missions; Alex is shot as Sean and Nikita try to stop a terrorist attack; Sonia and Birkhoff keep bickering. Cute. (The CW)

Shark Tank (“Season 4, Episode 8?) – Animator Seth MacFarlane shows his support for a man who designed a new fly trap. I wholeheartedly expect MacFarlane to sing his pitch. I then expect Randy Jackson to drop in and make his obvious critique, which will actually fit for once, in this environment. (ABC)

10:00 PM EST

Blue Bloods (“Nightmares”) – When a man is stabbed by an attacker dressed as the spirit of death, Danny investigates a voodoo community; Garrett tells Frank about a dark secret; Nicky and Erin take Jack and Sean trick-or-treating. They’d be better served just waiting a day and getting all that candy on discount from Rite-Aid. (CBS)

Haven (“Magic Hour”) – Audrey and Duke follow a lead on the Colorado Kid; Nathan and Tommy investigate a series of resurrections. Is it Easter already? (SyFy)

Real Time With Bill Maher – It’s the last episode before the election, so expect Bill to alternate between cautious optimism and smug anticipation for Obama’s win, before veering back into vague concern by episode’s end. (HBO)
