Novak Djokovic Beats Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon

Novak Djokovic beat world no. 1 and defending champion Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon final on Sunday. The win, 6-4 6-1 1-6 6-3, confirmed his status as the new world number one in tennis.

This is Novak Djokovic’s first Wimbledon title and third grand slam.

Djokovic secured the number one spot when the next rankings are published on July 4 by beating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the Wimbledon semi-finals.
