Super 8 Movie on 2011 MTV Movie Awards

Watch a sneak peak of the upcoming movie Super 8 at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. MTV announced on Thursday that they will give viewers an exclusive sneak peek of the film that is written and directed by J.J. Abrams, with Steven Spielberg.

The film Super 8, set in the summer 1979, follows a group of friends in a small Ohio town who witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined. Abrams and Bryan Burk are also producers. The film will be released by Paramount Pictures on June 10, 2011.

Hosted by Jason Sudeikis, the “2011 MTV Movie Awards” will broadcast LIVE from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA on Sunday, June 5 at 9pm ET/8pm CT.
