A Stolen Life is a book about the kidnap victim and survivor Jaycee Dugard. The 256-page memoir is set for release on July 12th. Dugard wrote the book completely on her own, according to her manager and publicist who spoke to FOX40 by phone.

Jaycee Dugard was kidnapped when she was just 11 and was held captive for 18 years by kidnappers Phillip Garrido and his wife Nancy. She gave birth to two daughters fathered by Garrido while he held her in a secret backyard compound.
Phillip and Nancy pleaded guilty last month in an El Dorado County court to kidnapping and assault charges. On June 2nd, Phillip was sentenced to a maximum of 431 years to life. Nancy faces 36 years to life.
