Blogger Down Status Updates Not Updated

I am furious right now. Blogger, Google’s online publishing platform, is down for almost 6 hours straight. There is no update of the status and Blogger is so strange to have this downtime at a time when most people blog. Why can’t the maintenance be done during midnight (U.S. time)?

Here is what is written in a Blogger Help Forum:

“We have rolled back the maintenance release from last night and as a result, posts and comments from all users made after 7:37 am PDT on May 11, 2011 have been removed. Again, we apologize that this happened and our engineers are working hard to return Blogger to normal and restore your posts and comments. We will post a report once this work is complete.”

When will this outage be over? No idea. Blogger is not updating the status.
