PS3 Error 80710A06 – PlayStation 3 Login Problem

There seems to be a login problem encountered by PSP3 users that will lead them to Error 80710A06. A certain LycanGalen user posted this in the PlayStation 3 forum section:

Yes, it is obviously a network issue, and has come up before (on these forums in fact, over the years) It could be a problem with our routers, but considering its happening to multiple people, and the EU website was having server issues earlier today (I couldn’t sign in to my eu account via my wired computer, it kept giving me server error message) I’m going to guess that either they’re doing some server maintenance, or Sony’s having some issues right now and are trying to fix them (which could explain why it’s hitting multiple server groups at different times – maybe there’s a virus, or a coding error, or something similar that’s going around)

I think that since they are already doing the weekly update to the stores on the network and Home that they may have decided to go ahead and fix a few things on the network as well. A friend of mine told me yesterday that she couldn’t add funds to her account either and as this is Sony’s bread and butter I am sure that they are working on that issue and this is the result. Just have patience, play some games offline and it will be fixed asap I am sure. It seems like this stuff happens a lot after a core upgrade like the one we got Wednesday morning this week. Just be patient and it will all work out.

We will wait for more news regarding this issue.
