How Old is the Voynich Manuscript

Now the age of the mysterious Voynich Manuscript has been determined. According to a team led by Greg Hodgins of the University’s department of physics, the book dates back between 1404 and 1438. That makes it older than the Gutenberg Bible.

The Voynich Manuscript, which the author, script, and language still remain unknown, was found by a book dealer in an old chest outside of Rome in 1912.

Currently the Voynich manuscript is owned by the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library of Yale University.
