South Korea Raid Video – Somali Pirates Killed

South Korea’s Defense Ministry released a video of South Korean special forces storming a hijacked freighter in the Arabian Sea during a rare raid on Somali pirates. All 21 crew members of the South Korean ship, the Samho Jewelry, were rescued during the operation off the coast of Africa, South Korea said. Eight pirates were killed and five were captured. Storming a ship held by pirates is rare and authorities tend to avoid it because of the risk of harming hostages, who are usually kept below decks out of sight.
