The New York City Department of Education announced that “Schools are open.” Read the message posted on its website:
“All New York City public schools will be open today, January 12, 2011. However, all field trips today are canceled. The Chancellor will make a determination as to whether after-school programs and PSAL events will go on as scheduled at 10 AM.”
Also, schools Chancellor Cathie Black announced today that after-school programs and PSAL games will proceed as scheduled.
