Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords Dead

It is now confirmed by NPR that Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords is dead due to a shot in the head today by a reported lone gunman. According to the latest report, 6 others were also killed in the latest Arizona shooting.

NPR also reported that the suspected gunman is now in police custody:

“The suspect ran off and was tackled by a bystander. He was taken into custody. Witnesses described him as in his late teens or early 20s.”

No name of the shooter has been released yet.
