The WHNT NEWS 19 newsroom posted the following school closings and delays due to the severe weather conditions.
The following early closings are effective for Tuesday, October 26.
* Alabama A&M University – Classes after 3 p.m. canceled
* Albertville City Schools – Closing at 1:45 p.m.
* Arab City Schools – Closing at 1:30 p.m.
* Athens City Schools – Evening classes cancelled; Debate STILL ON.
* Boaz City Schools – Closing at 1:30 p.m.
* Colbert County Schools – Closing at 11:30 a.m.
* Country Day School, Huntsville – Closing at 1 p.m.
* Covenant Christian Academy – Closing at 12:30 p.m.
* Cullman City Schools – Closing at 1 p.m.
* Cullman County Schools – Closing at 1 p.m.
* Decatur City Schools – Closing at 12:30 p.m. – all after-school activities and extended day programs also canceled.
* DeKalb County Schools – Closing at 2 p.m.
* Franklin County Schools – Closing at 11:30 a.m.
* Fort Payne City Schools – Closing at 2 p.m.
* Fort Payne School of Performing Arts – No afternoon program
* Guntersville City Schools – Closing at 1:30 p.m.
* Hartselle City Schools – Elementary Schools Closing at 12:15, Secondary Schools Closing at 12:30.
* Huntsville Achievement School (K-12) – Closing at 12 p.m.
* Huntsville City Schools – Closing at 12:30 p.m.
* Huntsville Bible College – Closed
* J.F. Drake College – Closed for the remainder of the day (all locations)
* Jackson County Schools – Closing at 2 p.m.
* Lauderdale County Schools – Parents can check their kids out at 11:30 a.m. or anytime afterward, but schools will stay open until 3 p.m. so students can stay there if needed.
* Lawrence County, AL Schools – Closing at 12 p.m.
* Limestone County Schools – Dismissing three hours early
* Madison Academy – Closing at 1 p.m.
* Madison City Schools – Secondary (Grades 7-12) closing at 12:30 p.m., Elementary (Grades K-6) Closing at 1:15 p.m.; Buses will run normal routes
* Madison County Schools – Closing at 1 p.m.
* Marshall County Schools – Closing at 1 p.m.
* Morgan County Schools – Closing at 12 p.m.
* Muscle Shoals City Schools – Closing at 12 p.m.
* Northeast Alabama Community College (Rainsville) – no evening classes
* Northwest Shoals Community College – Closing at 12:15 p.m., reopening at 5 p.m. for evening classes.
* Russellville City Schools – Closing at 11:30 a.m.
* Scottsboro City Schools – Closing 30 min early
* Sheffield City Schools – Closing at 12 p.m.
* Snead State Community College – all campuses closed
* Tuscumbia City Schools – Closing at 12 p.m.
* Westminster Christian Academy – Closing at 1:30 p.m.
