In 2009, Laurie and Kristin made the decision to follow their dream. They gave up their careers and founded the Centerville Pie Company. In September of 2010, the pair appeared on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” They had no idea what they were in for. It was announced that Harry and David would work with Laurie and Kristin to make pies by the thousands.

Not unlike Laurie and Kristin, brothers Harry and David had their dream – to bring the ringing sweetness of their Royal Riviera Pears from the orchards of the Rogue Valley to New York City. In 1934, they loaded their pears onto a truck bound for the Big Apple. Once there, they handed out samples, and people fell in love. Much like Laurie and Kristin, the brothers benefited from endorsements given by some very influential and kind-hearted people. It was from those humble beginnings that Harry & David has grown into the country’s premier gifting company.
