Dillingham Plane Crash – Ted Stevens Feared on Board

A fatal plane crash north of Dillingham in southwest Alaska has been reported late Monday night. Maj. Guy Hayes of the the Alaska Air National Guard said that eight people were reported to be on board. There are news reports that indicated former U.S. Senator Ted Stevens may have been on the plane. Also reported on board was Sean O’Keefe, 54, a former NASA administrator.

A C-130 and HH-60 helicopter were dispatched to the crash site, at about 10:00pm Monday, but Maj. Hayes said bad weather is making it hard to get to the scene.
