iPhone 4 Reception Problems
Apple CEO Steve Jobs does not have any solution yet of the persisting iPhone 4 reception problems reported by those who have gotten the 4G phone today. The iPhone 4 starts off having 4 to 5 bars if you don’t touch or hold it, but the moment you hold the phone the reception signal drops down to 1 bar or even get a “No Service” message.
Apple’s official stance on the issue is the following:
Gripping any mobile phone will result in some attenuation of its antenna performance, with certain places being worse than others depending on the placement of the antennas. This is a fact of life for every wireless phone. If you ever experience this on your iPhone 4, avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band, or simply use one of many available cases.
Now there is a certain way of holding the phone? This is ridiculous Apple!
