Air India Plane Crash – Mangalore Karnataka Crash

At least 160 passengers have died in the plane crash in southern India early on Saturday, officials said. There were 137 adults, 23 children and six crew on board. Air India plane crash occurred when the plane overshot the runway of the airport serving the city of Mangalore in Karnataka state. The plane was flying from Dubai to Mangalore and crashed at 6:30 a.m. local time, Air India spokesman Swaminathan said by telephone.

Air India statement added: “Air India is currently confirming the identities of the casualties. Air India is deploying all its resources for assisting passengers and their families.”
