Just watched the video that commented on Geisy Arruda’s case. I agree with the absurd of the situation, no one should be discriminated and even worse, until this day, as it is usual here in Brazil, no one has been held accountable to what happened that day to Ms. Arruda at her University. That being said, I’d like to observe that it is an over statement saying that Ms. Arruda is a celebrity in my country. The case did raise a lot of discussions at the time, as it should, but Ms. Arruda had her 15 minutes of fame and today I dare say she is recognized only in her neighborhood. Also, Brazilian women are so stereotyped, it would do us good to put videos like this in some kind of perspective.
What a shame, CNN.
So many important things to talk about, and I see here an opportunist having her minutes of fame outside Brazil.

I’m a law student in Brazil and I am ashamed of this situation and the proportion taken. Brazil has many more important things to be discussed and more beautiful things to be shown nationally and internationally. This type of event compromises the image of Brazilian women, already so stereotyped around the world. In the next time, the fifteen minutes of fame should be reduced to zero!
