March 24, 2010: University Open, Operations and Facilities Proceeding Normally

All operations and facilities at the Colorado State University are proceeding normally at this time. Snowfall is a common occurrence in this area of Colorado and, while an inconvenience, it does not always constitute a safety emergency.

The university is concerned with the safety of the campus community, but the decision to travel to campus is ultimately your own. Individual circumstances vary. If you feel you cannot traverse to campus due to a long-distance commute or other reasons, it is your responsibility to contact your instructors and/or supervisor to make alternative arrangements. Only your instructors and/or supervisors have the authority to authorize and absence if the university is under normal operations. When traveling to campus, please allow yourself extra time for travel in anticipation of winter driving conditions, and be pay extra attention for snow-clearing equipment.
