Female circumcision is common
First time I heard of female circumcision, I thought this only applies to male. I’ve read that it is practiced by Muslims and Christians alike and is deeply rooted in the Nile Valley region and parts of sub-Saharan Africa, Yemen and Oman.
The operation which many refer to as female genital mutilation, usually involves the removal of the clitoris and other parts of female genitalia.
Advocates say it tames a girl’s sexual desire and maintains her honor. Opponents say girls can bleed to death, suffer chronic urinary infections and have life-threatening complications in childbirth as a result.

talking about taming the sexual desire – why won’t they try to perform something of equal cruelty and hopefully comparably traumatic to men? after all, unless miracle happens, it’s normally them raping women, not the other way aroud.
do not go blaming all men. some of us are good men. It is there choice to have this, dont blame us blame there mothers they should just stop it
Traditions — especially bad ones — are hard to change. Male circumcision (though fraught with less pain and trauma than what is done to females) is sexual mutilation nonetheless. Few men with foreskins choose to be circumcised in adulthood. So it is perpetrated on infants and preteens who have no choice in the matter. And the chief obstacles to reversing this perversion are tradition-bound mothers especially (re: male circumcision) in the United States!!
