Filipino boxer Romero Duno beat his unbeaten Mexican opponent Christian Gonzalez on Friday night for a regional lightweight title. Both at 21 years old, Duno improved to 13-1, 12 KOs and Gonzalez suffered his first loss of his career, falling to 16-1, 14 KOs.
