Kurt Seyit ve Sura Series Ending and Finale Spoiler (PHOTOS)
I followed the Netflix’s show Kurt Seyit ve Sura (Kurt Seyit and Shura in English subtitles) when it became available in January 2017. Although I am not understanding the language of the new Turkish drama series, I could feel the strong connection between the two lovers – First Lieutenant Seyit Eminof (played by Kivanc Tatlitug) and Sura (played by Farah Zeynep Abdullah).
This post isn’t a full summary of the series, but a rough summary of the major events that occurred in the series, including the ending and spoilers of the finale.

Episode 1:
Seyit and Sura set eyes on each other at a ball.
Seyit and Sura finally met.
Episode 2:
Seyit and Sura danced for the first time.
The start of the many instances you wished you could just strangle the villain Lola, the Baroness.
Seyit and Sura kissed for the very first time.
The start of the many instances you wished you could just strangle the main villain, Petro, who is also Seyit’s close friend.
Episode 4: Seyit and Sura had sex for the first time, by the fire place.

Episode 4: As a lieutenant, Seyit had to leave for the war and had to say goodbye to Sura.
Episode 6: Sura tried to commit suicide after learning that Seyit has gone missing in the war and could be dead.
Episode 6: Of course, Seyit is alive. Otherwise, this story will end now.
Episode : Seyit and Sura had sex for the second time.
Episode 12: Sura bathed Seyit.
Episode 13: This episode was tragic. Seyit’s parents died when rebels attacked their home. Seyit’s youngest brother was killed by Petro. The wife of Celil (Seyit’s friend and comrade) died of excessive bleeding due to a sensitive pregnancy.
Episode 18: Seyit was mad at his comrade Celil.
Episode 19: Sura was mad at Seyit, thinking that Seyit cheated on her with the Baroness, Lola. This episode shows Petro and Lola conniving to destroy Sura and Seyit’s relationship.
Episode 32: Seyit met Murvet for the very first time, during a house fire incident. Murvet will play a major role in Seyit’s life.
Episode 34: After a big fight, Seyit and Sura parted ways. Sad episode for those following the couple’s story.
Episode 37: Sura met a young suitor, Serge.
Episode 38: Sura still loves Seyit. When she learned that Seyit would marry Murvet, she rushed to the hotel and tried to stop the ceremony. She came too late.
Episode 38: Also in this episode that Seyit married Murvet.
Conclusion: At the end of Netflix’s 46 episodes of Kurt Seyit ve Sura, Kurt Seyit married someone else, Murvet. Yes, the ending is depressing. No happy ending for the two lovers. Most of you will call this ending unfair and cruel. After you spent hours and hours following the love story of Seyit and Shura, now, you would want your hours back. Good job Turkish drama for wanting me to kick the TV screen!
And what happened to Petro? Well, in the last episode, Seyit took his revenge. He shot Petro four times and buried him alive.
And what happened to Sura? She accepted Petro’s marriage proposal in episode 39. However, she changed her mind and decided not to marry Petro. She thought that doing so would be the “worst mistake of her life.” Before she left Istanbul, she bid Seyit and Murvet goodbye. She wished the couple happiness. There was a good moment that you have to watch in episode 44’s last scenes.
The ending was soooooooo disappointing and sad. wish I had never watched it. Who ever chose the end, SHAME ON YOU
WHY WHY WHY DID THIS STORY HAVE TO END SO SAD. AFTER ALL THEY WENT THROUG TOGETHER WHY, WOULD YOU HAVE THEM GO SEPARATE WAYS ????????????
AND THEN TO ADD TO THIS SAD ENDING YOU NEVER LET ANYONE KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO SURA. “SHAME ON YOU” !!!!!!!!!! GOOD MOVIES ARE TO SUPPOSE TO HELP US LEAVE ARE TERRIBLE LIFES FOR A HOUR AND GO TO SOMEWHERE ELSE. THEY GIVE US SOME HOPE. WHEN DIRECTORS/WRITERS MAKE THE ENDING SO SAD IT MASKES US MORE SAD. WATCHING A GREAT MOVIE WITH A GREAT ENDING GIVES MOST PEOPLE A POSITIVE HOPE THAT MAYBE THERE IS SOME GOOD IN THIS WORLD. IT WAS SUCH A GREAT MOVIE UNTIL THE END. IT MAKES YOU HATE SEYIT. IT MAKES YOU FEEL PEOLPE WHO LIE GET AWAY WITH EVERYTHING. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IS SURA DIED WHEN SHE WAS SHOT. SHE WOULD HAVE EVER KNOW HOW SEYIT WOULD HURT HER EVEN MORE. ONCE AGAN SHAME ON YOU!!!!!
I refuse to continue watching this series now that i know that sura and seyit do not stay together. Then what was the point of the series?? I am soooooo mad. Did sura ever get to understand that petrobwas behind all the lies. Why couldn’t seyit just trust her with his involvement with the hotel owners and the nationalistic movement? She riskes everything for him, gave up her entire life and ever forsakes respect by not demanding him to marry her. I am so sad…
Hi Kat. Yes, Sura did know everything about Petro near the finale. I believe that was the reason why she said that marrying Petro would be the “worst mistake of her life.”
Apparently this series was based on a true story and I read on the web that Kurt Seyit committed suicide in 1936. Clearly Sura was still in his heart. When you find a love like that you never let go, you always follow up on the slenderest chance because it will only come once in a lifetime, maybe only once in many lifetimes. I write from the experience of being in such a relationship which seemed impossible at the start, there were many setbacks but I never gave up. That was Seyit’s mistake. He gave up.
is this really true? I am sad to hear if true, but he broke many hearts by giving up on Sura. I should not feel so but I hope he did. God forgive me.
A verrrrrrry sad love story.both seyit and sura deserved to be happy after all they went through.
Am just on episode 22, but I have been reading about the stories. It’s hurting alot jeez, my interest just vanished
I have watched up to the point where Seyit married Murvet. Oh boy I cried like a baby. It was so saaaaad. But then if you look at it from the other angle they were both full of stubborn pride. But what ire me most was- Shura allowed herself to be manipulated by Petro and her sister Tina. It was so annoying especially when she used every opportunity she had to taunt Seyit. Seyit knew her better. The bridge had been broken and the seeds of distrust deeply entrenched in her. There is no way it could have worked! Oh well as sad as it goes- it is what it is.
I watched every breathtaking episode of Kurt and Shura.
What a beautiful couple . Both played their roles to perfection.
I’m really sad that they did not get back together after all they endured to stay together.
But, it is not a fairy tale, it is based on a true story.
Kurt Seyit did marry Murvet. But his heart always belonged to Shura.
Theirs was a once in a life time love story.
I enjoyed it, thought it didn’t end the way we would have wanted it to.
It is quite a sad love story. Murvet knowing how much Seyit loves Sura she shouldn’t have agreed to marry him. Why why why did she allow herself to be used like this. And Seyit why did he let Shura go when he knew she was the one for him. Overally i loved the film you could really feel the passion that these two has.
Shura spoiled it for herself by being manipulated by cunning materialistic people , petro, tina and the aunt, the love story was full of issues I’m happy that real life Seyit n shura didn’t marry, well, no idea why they were reluctant to marry but live-in (their mistake) the outcome was what happened to them. Live-ins biggest killer of true love, you love each other embrace Infront of the whole world!! Announce your union
IT IS BASED ON A TRUE STORY WRITTEN, I BELIEVE, BY THE GRANDDAUGHTER OF SEYIT. AS MUCH AS THERE ARE PROBABLY MANY NON-FICTIONAL EVENTS AND CHARACTERS, THE TRUTH IS THE TRUTH…WHAT REALLY HAPPENED REALLY HAPPENED……AS DISAPPOINTING AND HEARTBREAKING AS IT WAS.
Iwas so disappointed when I got to know about the ending. I nearly cried because seyt was cheated of his love. But in one way or another their destiny was already decided. They wouldn’t be together. I feel so sad that the real seyt committed suicide
