Angelique Kerber will be the new world No. 1 on Monday. She beat Caroline Wozniacki in the US Open semifinal on Thursday with 6-4, 6-3. She will face 10th seed Karolina Pliskova who beat top seed Serena Williams 6-2, 7-6 in the other semi-final round.
As a result of that Serena loss, Angelique Kerber is the new World No. 1.
