Roswell New Mexico Shooting Killed 5; Suspect Wanted

Police are reportedly searching for a male suspect in the Roswell New Mexico shooting incident. A Roswell police spokesman said a relative discovered the bodies in a home on Davis Street Saturday night. The victims’ names were not released. Police are working to track down a man suspected of killing his wife and the couple’s four daughters Saturday (June 11) in the family’s north Roswell home. The suspect in the shooting murders of the one adult and four children is Juan David Villegas-Hernandez, 34.

Roswell Police Department investigators this morning (Sunday, June 12) were awaiting confirmation of the identities of the victims, but do believe they are the suspect’s wife, approximate age 34, and the couple’s four children, all daughters, approximate ages 14, 11, 7 and 3. The family lived at a home in the 2300 block of Davis Avenue, where the five victims were found about 11:15 p.m. Saturday by other family members who could not reach them by phone and went to check on them.

Investigators believe the murders occurred sometime Saturday. Each victim had been shot.

Juan David Villegas-Hernandez is possibly driving a red, four-door Ford pickup with New Mexico license plate KJS479.
