Oregon Wildlife Refuge Shooting: Full Unedited Video Released by FBI

FBI has released the video of the recent Oregon wildlife refuge shooting that resulted in the death of one of the occupiers.

Authorities played the video at a Thursday evening news conference to show that the man killed in the confrontation Tuesday — Robert “LaVoy” Finicum — did provoke officers.

The occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge began nearly a month ago. The occupiers’ jailed leader, Ammon Bundy, urged the four occupiers remaining in the Refuge to surrender.

If you watch the video below, you see a man identified as Finicum goy out of the truck. He appeared to raise his hands up, but then he reached into his pocket and then fell into the snow. Two other occupiers got out of the truck: Ryan Bundy, who is Ammon’s brother, and Shawna Cox.

Greg Bretzing, special agent in charge for the FBI in Portland, said that Finicum “did have a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun in the pocket.”

“Actions have consequences,” Bretzing said. “The FBI and OSP tried to effect these arrests peacefully.”

The FBI posted the video to its YouTube channel.
