Video Shooting of Reporter on Live TV Posted Online
This is one tragic news. Two WDBJ7 journalists, a TV reporter and a photographer/cameraman, died when their former colleague shot them on live TV, Wednesday morning.
Reporter Alison Parker, 24, and photographer Adam Ward , 27, were shot around 6:45 a.m. while Parker was conducting an interview with another woman outside a shopping mall at Smith Mountain Lake in Moneta, Va.
The gunman, identified as Vester Flanagan, has life-threatening injuries after shooting himself hours later on a Virginia interstate. Flanagan was a former employee, who went by the on-air name of Bryce Williams.
The woman being interviewed, Vicki Gardner, was hit at the back and is now being treated in the hospital.
