Ben E. King Dead: “Stand By Me” Singer Dies At Age 76

RIP R&B and soul legend Ben E King. The original singer of the iconic “Stand By Me” has died at age 76.

The singer died on Thursday, his publicist Phil Brown confirmed the passing. His agent said he suffered from “coronary problems” at the time of his death. King is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty.
