Nepal Earthquake Today Measures 7.8 Magnitude

Nepal Earthquake
A very strong earthquake, measuring 7.8 magnitude, hit Nepal today, April 25, 2015. The powerful tremor struck an area between the capital, Kathmandu, and the city of Pokhara, the US Geological Survey said.

According to the report, close to 1000 people had died in the quake, and that more than 1,700 had been injured.

Rescuers are digging through the rubble of collapsed buildings in the capital trying to find survivors.
