The Philippine Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has banned the showing of the trailer of the horror movie “Tragic Theater” because it was reportedly “too scary.”

Director Tikoy Aguiluz was not pleased of the X rating from the MTRCB and posted on Facebook, “Can’t believe they gave an x rating twice to a trailer for a horror film: too scary was the verdict. akala ko ba horror film ito.”

Viva Films published the uncut trailer on its YouTube channel on Friday. Watch the movie trailer and comment if you think it was too scary for public viewing.

The film is set to open in January 2015, with stars Andi Eigenmann, Christopher de Leon, and John Estrada.

Description: In February 1999, a group of spirit communicators attempted to exorcise a film center in Manila of ghosts. These supernatural beings were believed to be those of the victims from a fatal accident during its hasty construction. Unknown to them, something had long ago taken sanctuary inside the building, feeding on the anger and misery of the victims’ souls. They learned this secret too late and walked into a horrifying encounter.
