Lost at Sea: 12 Days Spent in the Pacific Ocean Before Rescue Arrives (VIDEO)

Hawaii sailor, Ron Ingraham, 67, was last heard from when he placed two mayday calls on Thanksgiving Day, November 27th, saying his sailing vessel Malia was taking on water and in danger of sinking 46 miles west of Kailua-Kona, off the Hawaiian coast.

Finally, after searching the open sea, the mariner was found alive and his 25-foot sailing vessel were being towed to Molokai December 9, 2014 after spending 12 days lost at sea. Thanks to the saving vessel, Coast Guard Cutter Kiska, who found Ingraham 80 miles from where he made his initial distress call.
