Russian President Vladimir Putin made his annual state of the nation address at the Kremlin Palace on December 4, addressing issues including the economy.

This was Putin’s 11th address, and the 21st address to take place in Russia’s contemporary history.

In his address to the nation Thursday, he blamed the outside world for Russia’s woes. “This is not just a nervous reaction of the United States and its allies to our position with regards to events and the coup in Ukraine,” he said. “If all that had not happened they would have come up with a different mode to restrain Russia.”
