City Ugly Christmas Tree Makes Pennsylvania Residents Not So Happy

Residents of Reading in Pennsylvania are not pleased of the 50-foot spruce Christmas tree in their downtown area. The so-called “City Ugly Christmas Tree” was the last-minute stand-in taken from a city park. Now, residents are demanding for a better tree replacement.

A group led by City Council president Francis Acosta has begun raising private funds to replace the tree with something bigger and more impressive.

Another tree-lighting ceremony will be held once the new tree is in place.
