Odor Eating Toilet Seat Is Now Available In Kohler Stores

Kohler stores have introduced the odor-eating toilet seat to eliminate embarrassing bathroom odors. According to Kohler, the deodorizing carbon filter in the Purefresh seat’s hinge neutralizes odors. As you take a seat a quiet fan moves fresh air over the Purefresh scent pack, boosting fragrance into the air. The carbon filter, which cost $6.99, lasts up to six months and is easy to pop out and replace.

Kohler began selling the seats November 10, in time for the Christmas season. They require two D batteries to operate. Scent packs, which must be replaced monthly, are sold three for $7.99.

Choose one of three scents: Garden Waterfall, Soft and Fresh Laundry or Avocado Spa. Purefresh scent packs provide about a month’s worth of fragrance. When it’s time for a new pack, simply push the cartridge to pop it out and swap out the old pack for a new one. One carbon filter and assortment scent pack (three scents) are included with your seat purchase.

How does Purefresh work?

1. When a user sits, he or she activates the integrated fan and deodorizing system
2. Toilet odor enters the deodorizing system
3. It first passes through the odor-neutralizing carbon filter
4. The fan sends the filtered air over the scent pack, filling the room with a subtle clean scent

Does Purefresh have a Nightlight?

Yes. Purefresh features two LED bulbs that run automatically on an eight-hour cycle so you don’t have to worry about leaving it on during the day or turning it on at night. To activate the cycle, just push the button on the back of the toilet seat at the time you’d wish the cycle to start and it will automatically turn on at the same time each night.
