Zoboomafoo Dies: Famous Lemur ‘Jovian’ Dead At 20
Jovian is the famous lemur in the PBS show Zoboomafoo. The Duke Lemur Center in Durham, N.C. announced today that ‘Zoboomafoo’ is dead. He died at age 20 due to kidney failure.
Jovian appeared in 65 episodes of Zoboomafoo from 1999 to 2001.
“He’d jump in through the window and we’d feed him mangoes or garbanzo beans. Sometimes he’d grab our noses with those soft sifaka hands,” co-host Martin Kratt said on Facebook.
