Window Washers Trapped: WTC Officials Send Rescue (VIDEO)

CBS New York has a live stream (see video below) of what is happening right now, as two window washers are being trapped at WTC. The two are stuck on scaffolding, around the 68th floor, at 1 World Trade Center, officials said Wednesday afternoon. The tower is 1,776 feet tall.

According to the report, the washers were done cleaning the window and were about to go up when something went wrong on the scaffolding.

The terrifying incident began about 12:45 p.m. on the south side of the building.

Emergency rescuers rushed to the scene and are currently trying to secure the scaffolding. According to CBS, rescuers may have to cut the glass to get the workers out to safety.
