Trucker: 600-Pound Bear Missouri-Arkansas Border Killed After Being Hit. Missouri officials now confirmed that say a 600-pound black bear was struck and killed by a trucker near the Arkansas border. During the interview, the semitrailer driver told officials that he initially thought he hit a cow that had run into the side of his vehicle on Monday morning.

Paul Veatch with the Missouri Department of Conservation told KAIT-TV the animal is being studied at a facility in Jefferson City.
