Joey Laquerre, 17, Dies in Accident (Video)

Up and coming star on racing, Joey Laquerre, 17, died in a heart-wrenching ATV accident on Saturday. He is the grandson of Vermont’s storied racing champion, who shares his name.

The 17-year-old was a fourth generation driver and an up and coming star in the sport. He finished seventh in the Vermont State Championships rankings this year. Laquerre often raced at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vt., where his grandfather is the winningest racer in the track’s 55-year history.
