Hurricane Ana Projected Path Heading For Hawaii (Update)

Hurricane Ana continues to gain strengthen in the central Pacific Ocean. Ana is headed northwest at 7 mph towards Hawaii.

According to projections, Ana will be able to reach Category 2 hurricane strength by Thursday (October 16, 2014). The GFS and European models both show Ana passing very close to the Big Island of Hawaii this weekend, and it is possible that the island could experience tropical storm conditions for the second time this year.
