Premier League 2014-2015 Season Kicks Off On NBC Sports Network

STAMFORD, Conn. – August 14, 2014 – NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the 2014-2015 Premier League season kicks off on Saturday, August 16. Coverage begins at 7 a.m. ET on NBCSN with Premier League Live followed by Manchester United v. Swansea City on NBCSN and mun2, and continues throughout the season on the networks of NBCUniversal, on the Premier League Extra Time bonus TV package, and streamed live on NBC Sports Live Extra.

PREMIER LEAGUE NUMBER OF THE DAY: 2
Last season, for the first time in Premier League history, 2 teams scored over 100 league goals –Manchester City (102) and Liverpool (101).
NBC Sports Group will once again make all 380 games from the Premier League available in the United States. Every MVPD has the option to carry every Premier League match on live television and via live streaming at no additional cost to consumers. All games will be preceded and followed by Premier League Live pre- and post-match shows from the NBC Sports Group International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.
Speak Football & Team Picker
NBC Sports Group’s digital “Speak Football” guide teaches fans how to speak like a true Premier League club supporter. Fans can start by either choosing their team, or using NBC Sports Group’s team picker to answer a series of questions to find out which team they should consider supporting.
Once a team has been chosen, fans can peruse a crash course in football lingo, important terms and their teams’ chants and songs, and take a quiz to prove they have the knowledge of a true supporter.
In addition, fans can use the Speak Football “translator” to tweet to their friends by selecting a club and phrase that will be generated into a tweet in true British fashion.
