Fire Challenge Videos on Facebook Claim Boy’s Life

Teens are dousing themselves in rubbing alcohol or some other flammable substance, lighting themselves on fire and posting it on social media. It’s called the Fire Challenge. A friend will then video the act and share it on the internet. The imbecilic act is supposed to elicit laughter as onlookers and internet viewers watch the reaction from the party who is on fire.

This challenge is not safe and potentially fatal. A boy in Buffalo, NY died from his injuries after participating in the challenge. Let’s be smart and say no to the Fire Challenge. Police are warning participators about the dangers of this act and have urged the public to stop sharing the videos.

FaceBook is doing their part by deleting all #FireChallenge videos off of their website.
