Esquire-NetworkESQUIRE NETWORK ANNOUNCES NEW FALL SEASON PROGRAMS, PREMIERE DATES

Newly Announced Fall Originals Include WEEKEND FIX with actor Omar Miller and BEST RESTAURANTS IN AMERICA (WT) produced by Magical Elves

Beverly Hills, CA – July 14, 2014 – Today, at the Television Critics Association (TCA) tour in Beverly Hills, California, Esquire Network announced new Fall 2014 original productions and fall premiere dates for previously-announced originals. The announcement was made by Esquire Network President, Adam Stotsky.

Stotsky’s announcement comes as Esquire Network finalizes its third quarter on the air – and its third consecutive quarter of growth. “Less than one year ago, we set out to create the entertainment and lifestyle network of choice for men today,” said Stotsky. “In just nine short months, Esquire Network has premiered 16 original series and specials, and will continue to build on this throughout the fall with exciting new and second season original series and specials.”

Newly-announced originals include WEEKEND FIX, a six-part series that shows that the best travel experiences don’t come from following a schedule — they come from following advice. In every episode, actor Omar Miller (CSI Miami) and his friend, fashion designer Andres Izquieta (Five Four Clothing), travel to a different city completely on the fly. They use every social networking tool at their fingertips to seek out recommendations from friends, locals, and strangers alike to find the go-to hotels, off-the-radar restaurants and can’t-miss local experiences the guidebooks just can’t tell you about. WEEKEND FIX is produced by Coolfire Originals and will premiere Wednesday, October 29 at 10/9c.

Also announced was BEST RESTAURANTS IN AMERICA (WT), the television companion to Esquire magazine’s American Food Awards (November 2014 issue). The one-hour special gives viewers a mouth-watering taste of the best cuisine in the country and a tour of the top restaurants of 2014. Produced by Magical Elves, who also produce the Esquire-inspired BEST BARS IN AMERICA series for Esquire Network, the special will premiere in late October (TBD date/time).

Additional previously-announced Esquire Network originals set to air this fall include:

  • MY FRIENDS CALL ME JOHNNY: This original series features candid and provocative conversations with some of the most creative minds on the planet, hosted by Jean “Johnny” Pigozzi, one of the world’s most connected men. Produced by Joel Silver and Silver Pictures Television, the series premieres Wednesday, September 3 at 10/9c and continues through October 22.
  • CAR MATCHMAKER: Former Seinfeld writer and talk show host, Spike Feresten, is the guy to go to when you need a new set of wheels. In this original 13-part series, Feresten finds a guy in need of a car, gets to know him, and then draws upon two decades of expertise and instinct to find three different cars perfectly suited to the buyer. At the end of each episode, a car is chosen. But will Spike agree with the buyer’s choice? For that matter, will you? Executive produced by Ellen Rakieten of Ellen Rakieten Entertainment, a division of Relativity Television, the series premieres Tuesday, October 14 at 9/8c.
  • White Collar BRAWLERS: Returning for a second season with 10 new episodes, this original series pits office adversaries against each other in the boxing ring. In each episode, they’ll leave their cubicles behind and learn to box over 10 weeks, from some of the sport’s most revered trainers at Brooklyn’s Gleason’s Gym. As they prepare for the final bout, these fighters will discover that true victory isn’t decided in the ring, but in the journey that takes them there. Produced by Authentic Entertainment, the series premieres Tuesday, October 14 at 10/9c.

Esquire Network will also continue to feature its Thursday night movie franchise, MOVIES TO LIVE BY, throughout 2014. A curated collection of the films that every man must see, this fall’s movies include Dirty Harry, The Thomas Crown Affair, Fargo, Die Hard II, The Goonies, Snakes on a Plane and Bonnie and Clyde. MOVIES TO LIVE BY airs every Thursday at 8/9c.
