Algeria

• Algeria ended a run of seven World Cup matches without a win by beating South Korea in their last game (D2, L5).
• All five of Algeria’s goals in Brazil have been scored by different players.
• Algeria can record back-to-back World Cup matches for the first time in their history.
• The Desert Foxes have only won one of seven World Cup games against European opposition (D2, L4). That was their first ever match at the tournament, a 2-1 win over West Germany in 1982.

Russia
