Masterpiece Mystery (“The Escape Artist”) – Part 1 of 2 of “The Escape Artist.” A British defense attorney (David Tennant) with a knack for getting defendants acquitted takes on the case of a bird lover who’s accused in the torture killing of a medical student. Little does he know, however, that by doing so he may have placed his happy family in harm’s way. (PBS)

The Real Housewives of Atlanta (“Kandi’s Wedding: Dis-Engaged”) – Prenuptial-agreement dramas plague Kandi and Todd as their wedding fast approaches. Wedding guests begin arriving, bachelor and bachelorette bashes are thrown, and the wedding rehearsal is held. (Bravo)

Rising Star – The series premiere of a reality show in which aspiring singers perform and are judged by TV viewers, who use an app to vote on the performances in real time. (ABC)

The Musketeers (“Friends and Enemies”) – Adventures of the Three Musketeers. In the opener, Athos, Porthos and Aramis are dispatched by Capt. Treville to find a missing musketeer who is carrying important letters on behalf of King Louis. (BBC America)

True Blood (“Jesus Gonna Be Here”) – The seventh season begins with the vampire-human mixer at Bellefleur’s in full swing, but a gruesome attack by a band of H-vamps throws Bon Temps into chaos and prompts a wave of spiteful finger-pointing at one of its most well-known residents. Meanwhile, Jessica tries to atone for her past mistakes; Bill has an unlikely ally in a showdown with vigilantes; and Pam seeks answers to a mystery in Morocco. (HBO)

The Last Ship (“Pilot – Phase Six”) – The crew of a lone naval ship try to save humanity when they discover a deadly virus has wiped out most of the population in the series premiere of this drama. Executive producers include Michael Bay. (TNT)

Nurse Jackie (“Sisterhood”) – Jackie reluctantly attends Kevin’s wedding; Zoey witnesses Jackie make a near-fatal error with a patient; Carrie demands that Coop introduce her to his mom; Akalitus feels pressure from the DEA and grows suspicious of Jackie. (Showtime)

Keeping Up with the Kardashians (“Doggy Blu’s”) – Khloé decides she needs an attitude adjustment after seeing that her bad behavior is rubbing off on her sweet little sister. Meanwhile, Kendall’s lack of responsibility for her dog puts her and Kris in a messy situation; and Kourtney doesn’t exactly approve of Scott’s newest luxury vehicle. (E!)

Drop Dead Diva (“It Had to Be You”) – Season 6 ends with Owen and Kim trying to talk some sense into Jane about her relationship with Ian.
