New York City Subway Train Accident Today. New York City’s transit agency says a subway train has derailed in the borough of Queens, Friday morning.

A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority says the derailment involved an express F train bound for Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Authorities say it happened in a tunnel at 65th Street in the Woodside section at 10:40 am (1440 GMT).

The fire department says there are no immediate reports of injuries. Firefighters and paramedics are on the scene.

The transit agency had no other details.

New York City’s subway system is one of the largest public transportation systems in the world, with an average 5.5 million weekday rides.
