Snorting Smarties Side Effects Include Maggot Infestation

Snorting

Health officials are warning parents and teacher of a dangerous trend concerning Rhode Island middle schoolers. The kids are crushing up Smarties candy and snorting it. They do not experience any high whatsoever, but snorting Smarties candy is dangerous.

Some of the symptoms include lung infections, nose bleeds, and maggot infestation.

“It’s not cool and it’s certainly not good for you,” said one health official. “The candy is meant to be eaten, not inhaled. Don’t hurt yourself.”
