New Year’s Eve Live 2014 Event Starts December 31 on FOX

Mario-LopezFOX celebrates the new year with a star-studded night of entertainment with 2014 NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE, airing Tuesday, Dec. 31 (11:00 PM-12:30 AM ET live; CT/MT/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. Broadcast from the heart of Las Vegas, Mario Lopez will host the evening live from the Vegas Strip. The special will feature show-stopping performances by J. Cole, Krewella, New Politics and Panic! At The Disco from LIGHT Nightclub at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. FOX cameras also will capture the world-famous New Year’s Eve Ball LIVE, as it makes its descent into New York’s Times Square to welcome in 2014.

Mario Lopez, a consummate entertainer, is no stranger to the FOX family. As host of the hit series The X Factor, not to mention the nationally syndicated show “EXTRA” and the Clear Channel radio program “On With Mario Lopez,” Lopez is a constant presence on the pop culture scene with a legion of fans across the board. Actor, author, producer and host, Lopez’s prolific career has made him one of the most sought-after personalities in entertainment today.

Jermaine Lamarr Cole, best known by his stage name, J.Cole, is a German-born American hip-hop recording artist and record producer from Fayetteville, NC. The first artist to be signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation record label, J. Cole’s debut album, entitled “Cole World: The Sideline Story,” which was released in September 2011, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Top R&B Albums and Top Rap Albums chart, and has since been RIAA certified Gold. J. Cole received a Grammy Award nomination for Best New Artist at the 54th Grammy Awards and is also a two-time American Music Award nominee. J. Cole released his highly anticipated, self-produced sophomore album, “Born Sinner,” in June 2013. The album has since hit No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, is certified Gold, spawned two Platinum singles and earned him a nomination at the 55th Grammy Awards.

After their electrifying performance at Ultra Music Festival 2013, the Chicago-bred electropunk trio Krewella have proven themselves with the release of their first album, ”Get Wet,” which debuted in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 200, making Krewella one of the hottest acts in dance music right now. The accomplishments are leaps and bounds from their humble beginnings, playing Windy City warehouse raves only two short years ago. Making their debut in summer 2011, their viral hit, “Killin’ It,” garnered worldwide attention before they enamored radio listeners and dance floors enthusiasts with their platinum-certified single, “Alive.” The trio, consisting of sister songwriters/vocalists Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf, joined by producer Kris “Rain Man” Trindl, continue their breakneck trajectory with their Top 40 single, “Live for the Night.”

New Politics, a Brooklyn-via-Copenhagen-based three-piece rock band, are about to embark on a headline tour in support of their sophomore album, “A Bad Girl In Harlem.” New Politics have spent the year entertaining fans with their dynamic live performances while on the road with P!nk, 30 Seconds To Mars and Fall Out Boy, along with many other artists. “A Bad Girl In Harlem” was released this past spring via RCA Records and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers’ chart. The first single, “Harlem,” is a Top 5 hit on Alternative Radio, and is now crossing to Top 40. New Politics are David Boyd (vocals, breakdancing), Soren Hansen (vocals, guitar) and Louis Vecchio (drums).

Panic! At The Disco’s fourth studio album, “Too Weird To Live, Too Rare to Die!,” was released in October 2012, and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart. The album’s lead single, “Miss Jackson (Feat. Lolo),” is currently Top 10 on Alternative Radio outlets nationwide and has more than 7.8 million YouTube views to date. In fall 2013, the group hit the road with their friends, Fall Out Boy, for The Save Rock and Roll Arena Tour. In January, the band will set out on their own sold-out national headline tour, Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!. Previous albums include 2005’s double-Platinum “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out”; 2008’s “Pretty. Odd.,” which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Album chart; and “Vices & Virtues,” which debuted at No. 7 and racked up critical accolades.
